KARATE-JITSU FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS
The Karate-Jitsu Academy is the coalition of Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Judo, and Karate.
Jiu-Jitsu, which included all of the fighting elements necessary for self-defense split off into Aikido, Judo, and Karate. Aikido teaches one to unbalance their opponent and includes the use of joint locks and pressure points. Judo is the use of throws and takedowns which are safe for sports use. Karate is the art of striking and kicking to vulnerable areas of the body.
The Karate-Jitsu Academy returns to the original art with its emphasis on teaching self-defense. Karate-Jitsu is a combination of joint locks, kicks, and striking techniques. These skills are then applied to the 361 kyusho (pressure) points of the human body. With the use of kyusho points the karateka (somebody who practices or is an expert in karate) can easily overcome a larger, stronger opponent. Karate is more than a sport. It is an art, a science. This is the karate we teach. Karate translated means “To defend oneself with bare hands without the use of weapons.” Jitsu means, “True technique.”
Remember, the only person that will always be available to protect and defend you is YOU!
We invite you to join the Karate-Jitsu Academy and to learn Karate-Jitsu.
